Besides providing a comprehensive overview of the latest products and services for animal husbandry professionals, EuroTier will also be offering a consistently jam-packed expert forum.
In the DLG forums, experts will be providing information on current topics from the cattle, pig and poultry segments.
Some of these forums will be simultaneously interpreted in German/English or will be conducted solely in English. This ensures that the forums will also be an important source of information for international visitors.
DLG Pig Forum
Focus on Health, Husbandry and Feeding (Hall 16)
Several times a day, current issues surrounding pig breeding, husbandry, feeding and marketing will be discussed at the 'DLG Pig Forum'. The range of expert contributions and discussions will encompass the topics of animal health, animal welfare, feeding, breeding, pioneering husbandry concepts and techniques as well as the benefit of digitalisation in the pig sty and the value-adding chain. Current issues such as the shift away from castration without anaesthesia or tail docking in piglets will be addressed in the 'DLG Pig Forum' at EuroTier 2020.
DLG Cattle Forum
Animal- and Environmentally-friendly Husbandry Concepts (Hall 12)
Current issues from the area of cattle farming will be discussed several times a day at the 'DLG Cattle Forum'. Besides animal- and environmentally-friendly husbandry systems, information on animal health and needs-based feeding, calf rearing and cattle fattening as well as grazing management and suckler cow husbandry will also be presented in the forum. However, herd management and controlling as well as digitalisation and precision farming will also play an important role in the 'DLG Cattle Forum' at EuroTier 2020.
DLG Poultry Forum
Pioneering Husbandry Concepts (Hall 4)
In cooperation with ZDG, current issues from the poultry industry will be addressed and discussed several times a day in the 'DLG Poultry Forum'. The range of expert contributions and discussions is set to include the topics of animal health and welfare, feeding, breeding, pioneering husbandry concepts and techniques as well as digitalisation and AI in the poultry house. The hot topic of 'In-ovo gender determination' will also be discussed.
