Special Show 'Overall Livestock Farming Concepts

for Cattle, Pig and Poultry'

Combining animal welfare, environmental compatibility and economy in modern animal stables is a challenge that must be met in feasible sty, barn and poultry house concepts.

The special show 'Overall Livestock Farming Concepts' will be subdivided into three information areas which are closely intermeshed with the respective DLG forums 'Pig', 'Cattle' and 'Poultry' in content and spatial terms: technical experts will be fielding questions in the special show, and individual aspects will be addressed each day in the DLG forums in the form of panel discussions.

Overall Livestock Farming Concepts

for Sows and Piglets (Hall 16)

Future-proof concepts for fattening pig husbandry were already presented at EuroTier back in 2018. For this year's event, a work group consisting of recognised consultants from the Chambers of Agriculture and State Institutes as well as experts from other organisations have developed solutions for piglet production. These solutions are also characterised by the fact that they have been developed from the perspective of the animal (sow and piglet) and designed with special focus on environmental impact and cost effectiveness.

Different sty models which the experts believe meet the requirements of modern, animal welfare-oriented and sustainable sow and piglet husbandry will once again be on show.

Overall Livestock Farming Concepts

for Dairy Cows (Hall 12)

The stable of the future will be digital. Automation, data usage and artificial intelligence will continue to mark future animal houses and revolutionise our working conditions. We are on the threshold of a new form of agriculture and can only guess at what awaits us in the coming years. The autonomous animal house is becoming increasingly tangible, but will not relieve us in any way of our responsibility towards professional agriculture. The initial results from the multi-national work group will be presented on each day of the trade fair, during which the experts from the Chambers of Agriculture and State Institutes will also be available for discussions.

Overall Livestock Farming Concepts

for Pullets Rearing (Hall 5)

The results obtained for the 'pullet rearing' section as part of a research project will be presented in the 'poultry house of the future'. The plan is to show different poultry house variants in the form of miniature model buildings which, in the opinion of experts, meet the requirements of modern, animal welfare-oriented and sustainable pullet husbandry.
