Bag checks at the entrance
In order to ensure the safety and smooth running of our trade fair event, we carry out bag checks at the entrance.
Please note the following points:
Admission requirement
Bag checks are a prerequisite for admission to the trade fair. Visitors who do not consent to the check will unfortunately not be admitted.
Purpose of the checks
The checks serve to identify dangerous or prohibited items (knives, tools and weapon-like objects of any kind) and to ensure the safety of all participants.
Procedure
The checks are carried out discreetly and professionally by trained security personnel. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.
Information and consent
By entering the exhibition grounds, you agree to the bag checks being carried out.

Travel and accommodation

- Use of navigation systems - Address: Exhibition grounds, 30521 Hanover
- Coming from the south, enter "Kronsbergstraße"; coming from the north, enter "Hermesallee".
- In the vicinity of the exhibition grounds, please ignore your navigation system when you see the first traffic control signs. This will guide you quickly and conveniently to a car park.
Various parking areas are available for trade fair visitors. Follow the signs on site. Further information can be found on our website under Arriving by car.
The parking fee for a car is €16 per day. Further prices can be found on our website under Arriving by car.
Yes, in all parking areas. You will be directed to the appropriate parking spaces. If you would like to be picked up from the car park, please inform the staff in the car parks.
Buses are directed to designated parking areas. Simply follow the traffic control signs.
- The U8 and U18 tram lines stop directly at the exhibition grounds at Entrances North 1 and North 2.
- The S4 and S8 suburban railway lines, as well as some regional trains, stop directly at Hannover Messe / Laatzen station at Entrance West 1.
No. There is no shuttle service from the main station to the exhibition centre. You can take tram line U8 or U18 from the main station to the exhibition centre (North 1 entrance) in approximately 20 minutes.
Yes. During the trade fair, an exclusive shuttle service is available for £25 per journey. You can conveniently book your shuttle journey in advance at www.bfmhaj.com/messeshuttle.
There is an internet café in the IC (Information Centre).
You can take the shuttle service or travel to the main station on the S5 suburban railway and then take the S4, S8 or the U8 or U18 trams to the exhibition centre.
Tickets & ordering process
You can, of course, also purchase tickets at the box office on site at any time. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase your admission tickets online in advance to avoid long waiting times at the entrance and to benefit from the discounted price.
A day ticket purchased on site costs €45. In the ticket shop, it costs €33. We strongly recommend that you purchase your ticket in the ticket shop to avoid waiting times at the entrance.
No. Admission tickets cannot be ordered by telephone.
Yes, there are season tickets. You can find all information about tickets under Visit >Ticket prices & opening hours.
Children up to the age of 12 are admitted free of charge. Children aged 13 and over pay the reduced ticket price. You can book free children's tickets when purchasing tickets or registering. All we need is your child's name and date of birth.
Yes, discounted tickets are available in the ticket shop and at the box office. Please note that discounts are only valid in conjunction with a valid pupil, student, pensioner or disability card, which must be presented at the entrance.
No. Tickets are not valid for public transport.
Yes, bus drivers are admitted free of charge. To do so, please register at the supervisor counter at each entrance.
Yes. Teachers accompanying groups of pupils also pay the pupil price for group advance sales.
No. You can only pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or PayPal.
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be cancelled after the 14-day cancellation period.

General information
The next EuroTier / EnergyDecentral will take place from 10 to 13 November 2026 at the Hanover Exhibition Centre.
From May 2026, you will find the current exhibitor database on our website under Exhibitors & Products. There you can create your own individual list and also view the location of the stand on the exhibition grounds. A trade fair app that will display this content is also in the planning stage.
Yes, there are cloakrooms at all entrances to the exhibition grounds. For a fee, you can leave your coat (approx. £3) or luggage (approx. £5) there.

Catering at the exhibition grounds is organised by Deutsche Messe. You will find a restaurant or bistro in every open hall.

Yes, children aged 4 to 12 can be looked after in the Junior Club. The Junior Club is located in the CC Convention Centre in Munich and Hamburg and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bag Checks
Bag checks are carried out for the safety of all participants and are intended to identify dangerous or prohibited items.
Yes, consent to bag checks is a prerequisite for admission to the trade fair. Visitors who do not consent to the checks will unfortunately not be admitted.
Prohibited items include weapons, weapon-like items, pocket knives, explosive materials, hazardous chemicals and other items that could pose a safety risk.
The checks are carried out discreetly and professionally by trained security personnel. Your privacy will be respected.
Yes, after the check, you can of course take your bag back with you, provided that no prohibited items are found.
If a prohibited item is found, it will be confiscated and held until the person leaves the premises. In the event of serious violations, the police will be notified.
No, all visitors must undergo bag checks to ensure the safety of the event.
