Accreditation Guidelines for
Journalists and Content Creators
The DLG offers journalists and content creators the opportunity to apply for accreditation for its events. Accreditation is granted exclusively for editorial reporting on the respective DLG trade fair. There is no entitlement to accreditation.

Please submit up to three links to your relevant channels. The DLG will assess your application on the basis of the documents submitted.
Preamble
PREAMBLE
These guidelines apply to all events organised by DLG e.V. and its affiliated companies (hereinafter: ‘DLG’). They are intended to ensure professional, safe and orderly media coverage, as well as to protect the interests of visitors, exhibitors, partners, media representatives and organisers. By applying for or using accreditation, you acknowledge these guidelines.

These guidelines apply to all accredited journalists, content creators, influencers, photographers, film crews, podcasters and other media representatives.

Accreditation is intended solely for journalistic, editorial or specialist reporting. There is no entitlement to accreditation.
The decision is made following an assessment of the supporting documents submitted and the relevance of the media outlet or channel.
Accreditations are personal and non-transferable.
Applications must be submitted exclusively via the DLG’s online accreditation portal via the following links.
3. PERSONS ELIGIBLE FOR ACCREDITATION
3.1 JOURNALISTS
a) With a press card
Presentation of a valid press card (front and back).
b) Without a press card
Proof of journalistic activity, e.g. by means of:
- a published editorial article (no more than six months old),
- a current legal notice stating your name,
- an editorial assignment,
- proof of involvement with school or youth media.
Persons under the age of 14 may only be accredited if accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult responsible for their supervision.
3.2 CONTENT CREATORS & INFLUENCERS
Up to three links to the relevant channels are required.
The channels must:
- have been in existence for at least six months,
- be clearly attributable to the applicant,
- contain the person’s name or a legally compliant legal notice,
- be updated regularly,
- be thematically relevant to the event or its target audiences.
In its assessment, the DLG takes particular account of:
- subject-matter relevance,
- quality and professionalism,
- frequency of publication,
- transparency of authorship,
- reach and interaction.
A high reach alone does not constitute grounds for accreditation.

4. ASSESSMENT AND DECISION
The DLG may request any missing or additional supporting documentation from the applicant.
Accreditation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis at the DLG’s discretion. Rejections do not require justification.
Applications may be resubmitted with supplementary evidence.

5. USE OF ACCREDITATION
Accreditation entitles the holder exclusively to report on the event.
The following, in particular, are not permitted:
- marketing or sales activities,
- advertising and promotional activities without the DLG’s consent,
- market research,
- other commercial activities not directly related to reporting.
The details of any contracts with exhibitors, sponsors or other business partners must be disclosed on request. Statutory labelling and transparency requirements remain unaffected.

6. FILM, PHOTOGRAPHIC AND AUDIO RECORDINGS
All legal requirements, in particular those relating to data protection, copyright, personal rights and media law, must be complied with.
These include, in particular:
- Rights of personality must be respected.
- Publications featuring identifiable individuals must be legally permissible.
- Depictions that are degrading or clearly unwelcome are not permitted.
- Information relevant to security must not be documented or published in a manner that jeopardises security.
- Exhibitors’ guidelines regarding photography at their stands must be observed.
- In sensitive or heavily frequented areas, particular consideration must be given to safety and operational procedures.

7. RULES OF CONDUCT ON THE EXHIBITION GROUNDS
Members of the media are required to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful and responsible manner.
The following are strictly prohibited in particular:
- Portraying or making use of unauthorised access to restricted areas,
- Overnight stays on the exhibition grounds, as well as the staging or promotion thereof,
- the publication of confidential, non-public or security-related information,
- Entering restricted areas without authorisation,
- Disrupting the running of the event,
- the use of drones or technology without the necessary authorisations,
- illegal or security-compromising content,
- Encouraging dangerous behaviour,
- disruptive or harassing behaviour, pranks or challenges.

8. RIGHTS OF ADMISSION AND SANCTIONS
The DLG exercises its right to manage the premises and may revoke or withdraw accreditations at any time, in particular in the event of breaches of:
- these guidelines,
- the house rules,
- statutory provisions,
- regulatory requirements,
- the legitimate interests of the DLG, its exhibitors or visitors.

9. FINAL PROVISIONS
By applying for or using the accreditation, these guidelines are deemed to have been accepted. The DLG may amend or supplement these guidelines for future events at any time.
